Yuba River Fishing Trips

Our Yuba River drift boat fly fishing trips are done on the lower Yuba River and we guide February through August. The Yuba is catch and release only with barbless hooks. This allows the fish to grow to a large size, with the average trout between 14 and 17 inches long. These trout fight like no other and if you like dry fly fishing that isn't easy, this is the trip for you. We rarely do anything but fish dry flies so if you are a dry fly guy, give us a call and give the Yuba a try.

You will be provided with top of the line Sage fly rods and Sage, Galvan or Ross reels, as well as leaders, tippet and flies for all trips but feel free to bring your own equipment. All of our equipment is top notch, including a state of the art Hyde Drift Boat. Hyde is well known for its quality and performance. You will enjoy the experience of fishing from a boat so comfortably designed.

Full day trips last 8 hours and half day trips are 4 hours. Lunch and drinks are provided with all full day trips. Prices are for 1-2 people; third person is an additional $100. Fishing License and Steelhead Report Card are required on the Yuba River. Prices do not include fishing license, Steelhead Report Card or guide gratuities.

Drift Boat Fishing Trips - Striped Bass

Our striper trips take place on the lower American River in Sacramento by drift boat. The American River produces several stripers every year over 40 pounds. It is not uncommon to see these giant fish and be able to cast to them. You have the opportunity for a fish of a lifetime, although getting these extremely large fish to eat a fly can be a real challenge. The majority of the fish we catch go from school sized to 10-12 pounds.

We specialize in fly fishing but conventional gear can also be used. You will be provided with top notch Sage fly rods and Sage, Galvan and Ross reels, as well as leaders, tippet and flies. Full day trips last 8 hours and half day trips are 4 hours. Lunch and drinks are provided with all full day trips. Prices are for 1-2 people; a third person is an additional $100.
